Catchy Stuff is an internationally recognized, independent children’s publishing company. Founded and owned by illustrator, animator, visual artist, and writer Omar Lewis whose background in illustrating comic books and graphic novels for the likes of DC Comics and Marvel goes back 30 years. With an equally impressive background in education teaching and developing curriculums for The University of Trinidad and Tobago. We began publishing child-focused, parent-friendly children’s books in 1998 to create books that encourage children to read for pleasure.
We know it’s subjective, but Catchy Stuff wants to be proud of everything that we publish and make. We want to be sure that it meets the need of a reader (or emerging reader), and meets that need as well as it possibly can. That means great writing, great design, and really great art.
We publish excellent, diverse, commercial fiction and non-fiction books for children aged from 0 to 12. Making well-designed and sustainably and beautifully produced physical books that excite our readers is important to us, and we think carefully about covers, paper type and paper weight so that our books are attractive to look at and pleasing to hold. All our fiction appears in print however in keeping with the request of customers, ebook versions of our fiction titles are being produced and will be available soon.
